It goes on ham salad too. I wouldn't call it as versatile as normal mayo due to it being tangy

On This Morning, they suggested using it with lasagna. I tried it and, somehow, it actually works.

What kind of salad? Like, lettuce in a bowl with mayonnaise? Because that’s fucked up.

No you dont go mental with it. If its a leafy salad its more a drizzle. I have seen people use it with fries for dipping or do a cucumber salad where its more tossed in it like a potato salad is with mayo

When mayonnaise exceeds its expiration date, the shopkeepers slap on "salad cream" labels to get a few more weeks of salability. (It's not gone off, it's "aged" and "mature".)

It's just mayonnaise with less oil and more sugar, mustard and vinegar. I use this instead of mayo for all purposes, it's fine.

i'm a brit and avoided this shit like the plague all my life, way too bitey and acidic for me, and accidentally getting a mouthful of this shit when being served food feels akin to dying.
however, I tried mixing 50/50 of this with mayonnaise recently, and now it's kino, I like to dip pizza crusts in it.

>> No.19584010

It's just absolute basic salad dressing, emulsified oil and vinegar. I've never had cool whip but I would bet good money it's nowhere near as vinegary as salad cream because I've seen you guys make fucking candy salad with it.
