you are now aware that no KFC makes chicken with his recipe. also that the "11 herbs and spices" is a tiny itty bitty little packet added to 50lbs of batter to comply with truth in advertising.

The taste of KFC has not changed in my lifetime and I have eaten it since the 70's.

the only differences from back then are that they switched from a package of buns to biscuits, service, and quality control have gone to shit.

the last time KFC sold chicken with the "secret" recipe was before 1964. sanders was very disenchanted with the brand after he sold it, but stayed on as mascot/spokesperson until he died and pretended to like it.

analysis of packages of batter aqcuired by the big book of secrets showed that the original recipe batter contains:
flour
salt
pepper
MSG

anons who work at KFC have reported that managers add a tiny packet to the batter before mixing that contains the 11 herbs and spices.

anyone who has tried making fried chicken will tell you that the taste of most ingredients is destroyed or greatly reduced by frying.

people who report being able to taste all sorts of spices are almost certainly making it up.

there is a franchise in ireland that still makes chicken with the colonels original recipe, and you can buy a sack of it online and make your own chicken. I have not tried it as I don't need a giant bag of fried chicken batter.

no I don't remember the name google it.

ok since I knew idiots would respond, here is the company that makes the actual batter that contains the original recipe. I mean all you did is call me a name. you have no argument.

https://gracesperfectblend.com/

Pat Grace met with Saunders at his holiday home in near Toronto and agreed to franchise the brand in Ireland. In 1970 Grace returned to Ireland after a number of years in Canada to open his first Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in Phibsboro shopping centre in Dublin. Eventually he opened another six restaurants located in Dublin, Limerick and Cork. After disagreements over cost cutting with KFC management in the early 1980s, the Irish restaurants were renamed to Pat Grace's Famous Fried Chicken reportedly retaining the original recipe. These stores were closed in the late 1980s. Pat Grace went on to wholesale the chicken spice blend under the brand Grace’s Perfect Blend.

>most gas stations have higher quality fried chicken nowadays

Because you don't need that much workspace or capital to create fried chicken, in fact the barrier to entry to create a fried chicken shop is very low.
