Gotta be a strawberry kool-aid pickle. Never seen one, never even heard of them till now, but I've seen strawberry kool-aid fig preserves and recognize that flourescent pink. I've got one aunt that thinks strawberry koolaid fig preserves are the bees knees, she makes a ton of it every year from her fig trees and gives jars away to all her long-suffering relatives.

I'm from Tennessee and they've been a thing here since the 90s at the least, but they're associated directly with poverty. Black or white, doesn't matter, if you see someone eating that shit they're poor. Like the other anon said it's generally associated more with the Mississippi region, but when I was a kid I saw some people eating them around Nashville too.

Sugar in pickle brine is common and good. Lots of quick pickles have way more sugar than salt.

Koolaid got sugar and other sweet flavors.

Y'all gotta start actually making things if you're gonna jack off on this board.

>The actual beverage is prepared by mixing the powder with sugar (the packets of powder are usually, though not always, unsweetened) and water, typically by the pitcherful.

Looks like it comes without sugar.
