Why is this particular type of Monster "boomer"?

Boomers drink coffee. I've only seen Millenials and Zoomers drink energy drinks.

the thing that's funny is it was meant to target college girls

when i first saw the boomer meme i probably laughed for like 10 minutes straight. back in the 2000s when i was still living at home, my step dad would be drinking pic related (taken from the garage fridge that had like 30 of them) and start mowing early on a saturday while i'd still be in bed after going to sleep at 4am

Because the monster con pant marketed it to us using a home cooked viral ad campaign to inform 30-somethings that their teenage thrill drink has a diet option they can drink to help their newfound blood pressure issue

it isn't actually "boomer" (age 57+) rather "meme-boomer" (age 30 to 40). Doom like games are also refered to as "boomer shooters" even though they released when real boomers were 30+

I don't think it was college women, but it is definitely marketed towards women. I mean, it's the blurb on the can. I'm not a woman, but I do like the white Monster, and have a can right in front of me. This is what it says, verbatim:
>Some people are impossible to please. As soon as they get what they wanted they always want more. Our team riders and Monster Girls are no different... they've been dropping some hints lately.
>They've been asking us for a new Monster drink. A little less sweet, lighter-tasting, zero sugar, but with a full load of our Monster energy blend.
>Sure, white is the new black. We went all out: Monster Energy Zero Ultra.

This. I'm exactly their demographic. Born 1990, indoctrinated by Monster ads that used to be everywhere in the 00s. I'm now a 33yo boomer and still drink them almost every day. I tell myself I'll quit but everyday I find myself at the grocery buying a can. I drink original flavor though since my body can still handle sugar but if I don't quit then I might need to switch to the white can boomer edition.

the first time I saw this meme I almost died laughing because I'm exactly their demographic.

>white is the new black
I noticed the whitest blonde girls wear like all white and drive white cars, it's weird.
