The source water and treatment used in new york water is not strikingly different that you would find in any flyover. The piping infrastructure is ancient, but I'd wager average pipe age and composition is similar to most eastern U.S. Metro areas.

I am very, very skeptical that groundwater from the Adirondacks has virtually identical mineral composition to groundwater from the fucking Great Plains.

nyc water comes from 125 miles north in the catskills, it's mountain spring water directly into the taps
>>19402952
are you going to try and argue that water from different sources doesn't have different mineral contents?
I don't know what the water is like where you live but for example if you go to florida when you take a shower you're left with a greasy film on your skin
and in michigan well....lets just say don't drink that water unless you're ok with lead and rust poisoning

>> No.19402987

>>19402944
You're using a geological way of thinking in that you're assuming it's ground water. New York is strictly surface water supplied from extremely well protected watersheds. Their treatment is wild because they don't really filter the water and are able to supply with Chlorine and a hit of UV. I've never been to the treatment out there, but I'd like to go.

you would think so, but I spent my whole life drinking lipton tea bags and then one day someone bought me a bag of regular old black loose leaf tea and it's like they aren't even the same food
it's impossible to go back, the loose leaf is sweet and aromatic on its own, the lipton needs milk and sugar to be palatable
