Coke needs some help with their marketing. It feels like they keep vomiting out limited edition flavors in the hopes that people later will be all, “OMG I MISS IT. BRING IT BACK!” But so far people seem lukewarm and/or confused at best, revolted at worst.

I prefer hfcs coke, it's less sweet and brings out the other flavors better than cane sugar.

i think soft drinks are kind of like obscenity. i don't think you could scientifically design "the perfect soda" in a lab. it's just throwing a ton of shit at the wall and sometimes it sticks. mountains of broken bodies and a few success climbing to the top.
i don't even know what makes a good one good. i was at 5 guys today and remembered that they had the machine with like, 8 types of coke and 12 types of sprite. so while i was waiting on my burger i tried out a bunch of different pops because i don't normally drink them. and it's crazy, coca cola and banqs are both great, but dr pepper sucks nuts, and i don't even know how to describe what make a good fizzy drink but i know it when i taste it.

You know those Coke freestyle machines are like never cleaned, you'd instantly gag if you ever saw the inside of one. Literal mushrooms and interior of lines entirely coated in black mold. I've serviced more than 500 of them, and have yet to see one that I would ever dream of drinking out of.
