I cook it with pickle juice and mix salsa or banana peppers into it when I eat it. Occasionally, I just season it with steak seasoning, wholey's wing dust, or some other prepackaged mix.
Rice is pretty good when you're poor or on a diet.

I agree, rice is amazing.

But basmati rice is fucking shit.

I'll try the pickle juice thing though

Yeah, you fucked up with picking basmati instead of jasmine, but it's whatever. If you're not on a diet, a few beers always helps everything taste palatable.

sure! here's why I fucking love jasmine and basmati. 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline, a flavorful compound present in long grain rice variety like basmati and jasmine, gives the grain a nice buttery pop corn like flavor once cooked. it really add depth to dishes unlike the boring short grain rice.

Make Pilau rice if an accompaniment or make biryani for a meal on its own.

This is not a starchy rice, if you use it in recipes expecting that, or if you want clumpy rice, you are going to have a bad time. You need to soak it and rinse off excess starch before cooking.

>>19388222
If you use basmati for Chinese food you are doing it fucking wrong, it is terrible for it.
