Instant potato puree if you hate peeling potatoes. Keeps fresh for years, just mix with hot water, add salt and whatever you want for flavor.
Peach nectar. Delicious.
Ice cream. Some very cheap ice cream of reasonably good quality.

That's pretty much everything that's really worthwhile from Aldi. The rest is between okay'ish, and hell no.

In particular don't fucking touch their non-food wares - electronics, camping, cooking etc, you get crap chinesium stuff for the same price you could buy brand, high quality products elsewhere.

>> No.19387446

>>19387418
The chinese spend 2 shifts making stuff that must pass QA by the western brand for which they make it, then work "overtime" third shift making the same stuff out of inferior materials, and switching the label to some PANASONIX. Or take back whatever the QA rejected, rebrand it and resell under dodgy names.

>> No.19387450

>>19387446
Literally. Not stuff where you have a chance of a fault because of lousy QA. Stuff where you WILL have a fault, because it went to QA and got rejected for having a fault.

Their meats are pretty good most of the time too.
Before the supply chain issues of 2020, they released a mission statement about having as many NON-GMO foods as possible, and they were Great for almost everything.
Now however, more and more of the stuff contains bio engineered ingredients.
Eggs finally have come down to lol a dozen,($1.01) their imports are almost always good.
Produce often varies wildly from location to location, since part of them keeping food costs down is getting it as local as possible.
In Indiana, for instance, the produce was pretty garbage a lot of the time, since it was shipped up from Mexico. That was a a decade ago however, it may've changed.

That wasn't me.
I have little problem with some GMOs, as they aren't predatory(SEE: Mosanto VS....)
But the REAL problem with many of them is they either produce BT (cotton, and other clothing crops like flax,) OR they are designed to take absurd amounts of GLYPHOSATE in the form of round-up, which is even regularly used Off-label as a desiccant before harvest.
They DON'T wash grain before processing it, anon.
GMOs like sugar beets may be fine, but I'll stick with truly organic if I can.
FFS, they *JUST* dropped another paper warning that Sucralose(Chlorinated sucrose-which they are adding to EVERTHING,) is both Geno-toxic and KILLS your gut flora as well--indisputably a carcinogen.

I like Aldi's brand full fat greek yogurt, super cheap only 3.50$ where i'm at for a pound. And their pueblo lindo burrito flour tortillas. They're the biggest tortillas i could find, they used to be only a dollar for ten. Now they're 1.89$ for eight. Unfortunate

Also their seasonal olives and cheeses just BTFO anything else local, though not much competition in flyoverland.

They have Choceur and that kind of filling variety in the USA, but I haven't seen a strawberry yogurt flavor here.
I usually just go with the unfilled hazelnut, they taste uncannily similar to those ferrero rocher chocolate balls but much easier to handle and less pricy.
