Does there exist milk bars IRL or is that just a Zelda thing? I would totally go for some freshly brewed kefir

In Poland they have old style cafeterias from the commie era called "milk bars". They have home style cooked food and you push a tray

Milk Bars are totally a thing in Poland (they were big in the Cold War time, most closed down since, many still remain) but they aren't anything like that Zelda thing.

It's a self-service canteen style establishment (buy at the counter, take to your table yourself), with very cheap, low-to-mid quality food, served very quickly. The menu has only a small amount of meat-based dishes, but a broad range of ones based on dairy - crepes with sweetened cottage cheese, fruit pierogi, porridge, eggs, and so on. Kefir is very often on the menu, alongside cocoa and just milk, but don't expect "artisan" stuff, just bulk-bought.

These milk bars are government-subsidized, but also needing to adhere to quite strict requirements regarding pricing, produce groups proportions, suppliers etc. A remnant of era bygone, important to provide warm meals to the poor.

As long as no drunk hobos are causing ruckus, it is. Some of these bars are complete crap, but a lot of them are quite proud of their craft and make some very decent food on the restricted resources they have, and make the decor and atmosphere quite homely and friendly. You won't see hipster stuff like chalkboard walls with stupid slogans or designer furniture, but rather stylish regular furniture, lush, well maintained potted plants, wooden decor and such.

Look for a bar in vicinity of a university or some college, and you'll meet plenty. Students are a big part of the clientele, and girls like these are quite common there. (if you choose a bar on the outskirts, you'll also meet plenty of girls like these, but aged up by about 50 years)

Hey, when the government says you have to do poor people prices, sometimes you have to deal with poor people customers. As long as the well-behaved hobos get a good meal I guess it's worth it. All in all that's a pretty cool relic, and I mean relic in a good way.

Wind Waker was great. The rest seemed ok at the time, but BoTW etc makes all of them look boring these days. I started playing Zelda on the NES.

>where most of the "puzzles" and "combat" lead to useless rupees
It's always so obvious when someone has never played the game. BotW is one of the few Zeldas where rupees are actually valuable, but you rarely get them through combat or puzzles. I played the game for 200+ hours and probably found less than 100 rupees in the wild. It's treated as an actual currency that you have to trade items for, and just buying 30 or 40 arrows can completely wipe you out.

It's ok if you think that. BoTW isn't perfect. I do wish it had proper dungeons. I'm also not happy with the new weapons systems.

To me it's still a better game than TP or SS.

Basically a cafe that offers smoothies. In the 00's, we offered milk drinks flavored with fresh fruit and syrup. Our most popular one was melon. Kind of fell out of fashion with the rise of starbucks - and most cafes adopted starbucks-like menus due to normies coming in and trying to order branded starbucks drinks at every cafe. Milk coffee is still a thing in some places. 3/4th's fresh milk, only enough coffee to offer color and maybe some vanilla extract and sugar to flavor.

Milk bars are everywhere in Australia. They're like convenience stores and sell milk and newspapers and confectionary and various other things. I remember as a kid seeing the milk bar in Majora's Mask and thinking wow, that's cool, a milk bar, but it looks like a bar.
If I owned a milk bar, the milk bar theme from LoZ: MM would be playing 24/7.
Or the store theme from Ocarina of Time. Really love that one.
