>A 2021 Salon article reported that BRCC is trying to draw a line and distance themselves from the far-right after their logos and gear appeared on Kyle Rittenhouse, a teen who was acquitted after killing two people in self defense and injuring another during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.[30] Black Rifle Coffee's symbols were also present on rioters who trespassed the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.[31]

>BRCC rejected a potential logo for one of their coffee bags featuring a Renaissance-style rendering of Saint Michael the Archangel, a patron saint of military personnel, shooting a short-barreled rifle. The design was rejected when Hafer was informed by a friend at The Pentagon that the image of Saint Michael standing on the neck of Satan was being used by white supremacists because of the resemblance to George Floyd's murder.[21]

A July 2021 article in The New York Times, Hafer describes his vision for growth of the physical franchised stores using retired military NCO's. He sees Navy petty officers and Army staff sergeants joining the company and running a franchise of their own rather than joining the local police force in their hometowns.[21]

>17. On or about August 15, 2016, Evan Hafer called Mr. Roper into his office. In front of Mr. Roper and several other people in his office, Mr. Hafer stripped down all his clothes and stood in front of Mr. Roper completely naked. Mr. Hafer acted as if he expected some sort of response out of Mr. Roper. Instead, Mr. Roper, averted his eyes and tried to turn the conversation back to work.

>18. Several days later, Mr. Roper and Mr. Hafer were working alone in a conference room when Mr. Hafer turned to Mr. Roper and said, “Why don’t we close that door and butt fuck the shit out of each other?” Mr. Roper rejected the sexual proposition and the meeting continued in awkward tension.

>19. After Mr. Roper had rejected Mr. Hafer’s advances and failed to comment upon Mr. Hafer’s nude body, Mr. Hafer became openly hostile to Mr. Roper.

Anything besides Chemex and Aeropress is utter crap. I simply cannot understand who would want to "enjoy" a faggy latte, or the super sugary frappe or those always on the run caffeine junkies that down espressos and flat whites. Nothing beats the perfection of a good filter coffee, especially through a manual dripper (looking at you drip coffee machine kikes).
While there are of course some interesting V60 varieties, I believe that it is too common of a filter coffee, too mainstream if I may say to properly satisfy my palate. There's also weird ass coffee styles like syphon or french press but who the hell even drinks that ? So no, only Chemex and Aeropress for me.

That's the guy Lance mentioned in his basket video. Normally I'd say take random Instagram schizos with a grain of salt but the guy has like $2500 of baskets sitting on his table. Here's what he says about the thinner PCL.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CtHb0ghRdW4/
Someone messaged the guy making them on taobao, got him on discord and they convinced him to do a thicker 1mm version to prevent flex at 9bar.
>High flow sworks 3000 hole
Sworks are .75mm thick and $200+, this was $75 shipped. Both are machined from billet then laser drilled. If I don't like it I'd imagine I can resell it quickly. If I do, I think Pullmans are running like $50 in the states so I'll just sell that instead.

Economy of scale dictates that Brazil and Colombia should have the highest quality beans through sheer numbers. It should also mean they provide more single estate speciality options.

It sounds more like pretentiousness to me. Most specialty goffee production makes more ruckus about (((environmental and social labor concerns))) instead of the actual goffee.

While the majority of Brazil’s coffee crop is destined for the commodity market, today a domestic specialty coffee movement is gaining significant momentum.
"Brazil is the world’s number two consumer of coffee – in bulk tonnage we’re very close to the US. However, from the retail price point of view, Brazil is 17th. That shows what is being consumed locally is a lower grade of coffee. Today, around 60- 70% of coffee consumed in Brazil is still Robusta.”

I opened the last Penazzi coffee, the Guatemala Huehuetenango.

It’s a curious coffee, the beans are big, very dense and there’s a lot of resistance + static when I grind them in the JX Pro.

The bag says that the main flavours are: raisins, ripe fruit (acidic) with medium body and wine notes.

At 1.7 rotations I got the clear acidity hitting me at the first sip, it was medium-low, but it was sharp, then the flavour evolved into figs, raisins with a clean finish, little persistence but pleasant at the end.

I made afternoon my single cup now and I decided to boost the acidity by going coarser at 1.8.8 rotations and the cup was more pleasant because the acidic notes were broader and less crisp, they were mole silky, it almost felt like white wine, then I got all the other flavour and extra sweetness.

Overall, I liked this coffee but I need to get used to the acidity more because I always expect full bodied cups, but that’s what happens when you drink Italian coffee for 15 years.

Thanks to Alberto for the great coffee and variety of flavours at an attainable price, also thanks for the memes.

Now it’s time to look to other roasters but I will be back for more.

>The dry fragrance has accents of tropical fruits, with a scent of brown sugar sweetness underneath. The wet aroma has crystalline sweetness, brown sugar candies, and fruit simple syrups. The cup flavors are juicy and sweet at City roast level. We noted flavors that hinted at blackberry, tropical passionfruits, and a profile that reminded us of ripe coffee cherry. I realize that's getting a little too specific, but I can best describe that flavor as a combination of juicy stone fruits and fresh green herbs, like basil.

Kingrinder K1 is great. Bought one as my first and it is pretty good.

Works for espresso (tried in a friend's house) but prepare to 1:30+ minutes of grinding. I don't care for espresso that much, rather prefer Moka/Inverted Aeropress if I want a stronger cup of coffee, then the K1 is fine. Heard that K2 is pretty good for espressos because it has a bigger burr.

I regret a little don't buying the K2. The only advantages of k6 is having the external adjustment/bigger capacity, the burr is the same size and the grinding times are almost the same.

Anyway, K1 is enough for now and I brought for like $30 so it's not like a huge loss, it is much better than Timemore C3.

K1 has a impressive capacity of 32g and I was very pleased with that.
