Damn, I grew up in Hawaii and haven't lived there in nearly 20 years, am I'm still learning that some things are unique to Hawaii while others aren't. I always thought that "beef" was a pidgin thing (we'd say "like beef!" if you had a problem with someone and wanted to let them know you were ready to throw down if they don't sort their shit out). It's weird seeing it with bong English.

really depends because i cook a lot of fragrant food but it smells good so if someone complained i'd tell them to fuck off but when i lived in a low rent condo the neighbors would cook near rotten meat from god knows where and it smelled like they were rendering roadkill
