Aspartame was illegitimately forced through FDA by Donald Rumsfeld (one of the faggots that got us into iraq war) after it was shown to cause brain tumors, cardio myopathy, lou Gehrig disease, advanced fibromyalgia, lupus and seizures. Documentary explains more, interesting gov backstory too:

I'm sure you'll forgive me if I ignore someone who can spell neither 'sweetener' nor 'cardiomyopathy' correctly, right?
You needn't bother telling me either way.
I'll have already started ignoring you.

stevia is probably bad. it's an artificial sweetener and i assume it nogs your insulin receptors and gut biome and so on in a similar way. just a fact, if it binds to the sweetness receptors in your mouth it'll bind elsewhere. structural similarity to sugar is a requirement and that brings functional similarity.

Yo I may be mistaken but is it not the entire reason we have an FDA for this not to happen?

Why can't we have reduced cane sugar products? Why not a soda with 15 grams tops of sugar in a 12 ounce drink? Or a Lil' debbie that is full sized with maybe 10gs?

I fucking hate sugar and sugar alternatives. Sugar is in literally everything and there's pretty much no way to avoid consuming large quantities of it. And if it's not sugar it's some disgusting sweet chemical.

I don't like artificial sweeteners in general. Sucralose leaves an awful aftertaste, particularly. I either go whole hog with the sugar or drink sparkling water if I'm being a baby that wants fizzies.

I've asked this for ages and the reason is just that no soda company wants to give up shelf space on their already very lucrative super-sweet stuff for less-sweet stuff. The best you can find is prepackaged tea jugs that now come in "subtly/slightly sweet" with like 75% less sugar.

The whole point of this thread was to make me care by watching that crackerjack "documentary "
