you like sandwiches?

italian sub: salami, capicola, pepperoni and provolone w/ giardiniera, tomato, onion, lettuce and sub dressing.

i cut usually cut a center slice out of the bread. its faster and more consistent than tunneling for me

>> No.19348464

Italian sub is best sub. Ideal served cold, on fresh baked warm bread.

Roast pepper vinegar spreads are something I've been fucking with lately. Very nice.

I do like yellow mustard and mayo in addition to vinaigrette/pepper spread, though. Maybe that makes me a pleb. The wops give me judging looks when I ask for it at the pizzeria. Why carry it then, Mario? You bloated pasta suckin' fuck.

Protip: Use Jimmy John's sub cut technique. Slice about a quarter inch from the bottom, fold open and scoop put all the bread from the top part with your hand. Then it's basically a bread shell.

the bad thing about sub sandwiches is the bread crust is way too hard

the stuff i buy is actually pretty soft. after a few days it'll harden up and then i'll either make bread crumbs or use it for croutons or something.

i've only made this once. its just ok. i didn't make enough to really play with it so i'm just gonna use it til its gone and try something different.

i'm thinking garlic powder instead of fresh cuz i'm worried about how long it will keep and then crushed red pepper.

In my opinion, nix the garlic powder. Just have it with oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and some kind of aromatic herb like basil or rosemary. It's easier to add a little something a sandwich is missing, but if you fuck up with a sauce it's over

That looks mighty tasty. Appropriate layering of the vegetables, except I would switch the lettuce and tomatos so the bread holds the tomatos when you bite and it doesn't slide apart.

Tasty sandwich, would chomp.
