i went to an asian grocery, there are at least 3 or 4 different chain ones in houston, and the ground beef i got made me sick and smelled off. i liked how they had tons of things like pork belly but after the beef incident i stayed clear. felt weird being in there since i wasnt asian. they have completely different sources on produce and fish it seems from the non asian chains. it was a pretty big store too so there were big aisles of cookingware, lots of snacks. some of the chinese products have canadian flags on them. i can see myself going there again but not for every product on my list

They will definitely have gochujang sauce. If you like chilli sauce this stuff is good, it's not super spicy but it has a great flavour, and you can use it on anything really. A fried egg on top of a bowl of rice with some of this pepper sauce is a good intro to Korean food.
