When I was a kid, I was pretty lower middle class to kinda poor, my parents mostly used my dads pension and my moms income to support us, but we could make do. I’d of course had other desserts like cake and ice cream and shit, but one time we visited my dad’s side of the family, and they had a whole table splayed out with fancy looking desserts and shit that looked professionally arranged. Out of all of it, I gravitated towards the Pumpkin roll for some reason, and ate nearly the whole thing before my parents found me, covered in cream cheese frosting. I still fucking love pumpkin rolls.

I think cannoli are best in their simplest form. I recently had the opportunity to try various flavors of cannoli. I went with a plain cannolo, a pistachio cannolo, and a raspberry cannolo (this one was the shop's signature item). The plain one btfo out of all the other flavors. The pistachio was my second favorite, but nothing beats plain.
