We have a grill on our loading dock at work.
UPS and FedEx are both off today so I've got nothing to do.
Bought enough stuff to grill up some food for the crew.
I'm literally getting paid to grill all day.
>burgers
>hot dogs
>lettuce
>tomato
>onion
>mushrooms
>pickles
>land-o-lakes cheese (best burger cheese. it isn't even fair to the other cheeses.)
>no hfcs ketchup
>french's yellow mustard
>koop's horseradish mustard
>duke's mayo
>little bags of chips
>sweet tea
>lemonade
don't know if anybody is bringing sides, a couple people mentioned them.
i'm fucking pumped, anons!
getting paid to grill on a loading dock is exactly what those men died for!
liberty and justice for all!

Dang son, that's one hell of a spread. What are YOU most excited to eat today? Also if you aren't already on the clock pick up a watermelon or two to compliment the meats

It's still weird to me that Americans treat their Memorial Day like a summer holiday instead of getting dressed up in suits and crying about their war dead. It's also weird to me that you guys have yours at the begining of summer.

I grilled steaks and had a fire pit and got drunk yesterday. Today I’m just nursing the hangover and will eat leftover steak later.

It's a nice day to get together and grill out for most people, but some families with a military history take it seriously. There's a service going on at the ww2 monument in my town as well. respect the dead and cherish the living kinda deal. of course we aren't going to do that in the winter.

The holiday was started after the civil war and was a day of mourning

When I lived at home it was the day I'd visit the cemetery with my dad's family every year since my grandpa was a veteran, that's somewhat common. But really all US holidays are perverted and the same now, they're all excuses to take a day off and get drunk. You can only tell what holidays are which based on the time of year they take place and what kind of shit you buy for it. On Memorial Day we sell little paper American flags made in other countries.
