What I do is either skip breakfast or I just eat a ball of mozzarella which is around 200 kcals, stuff like eggs just makes really hungry in the first place. Very rarely I eat some oats mixed with hot low-sugar-almond milk and a pinch of cinnamon on the top (around 300 to 400 kcals). If you've got to have your sweet stuff then replace your cereal with this but I strongly recommend just outright quitting sweet stuff (also don't eat white bread). The first day is the hardest after that it gets easier. Just remember to never ever buy this kind of stuff not even "for other people" (like Birthday Gifts and so on)

Eggs are better than sugary food in general, yes. You can easily search for lists of most filling food, and you'll realize most of it is healthy food anyway. If you're serious about losing weight, count your calories. Ignore all the pseudo science bs like skipping breakfast or not eating carbs or whatever, just focus on calories. Figure out what times you like to eat at the most, what kind of food is healthy and you can prepare every day, and if possible, include exercise, it is good for you because of many reasons, just don't force something you don't enjoy bc it will burn you out.

There's a lot more to this and everything has a level of nuance, but these are the basics to get you started, you'll learn the rest as you go.

As a vegan I discourage it, but as a fan of facts eggs are vastly superior to sugary cereals, milled oats are also decent, if your grocery store carries Ezekiel bread it makes great toast + they have really good English muffins. It's in the freezer section, it's made from sprouted grains instead of flour, so they've actually got some nutrition. If you try it make sure you keep it in the fridge or it will mold very quickly.

Also fruits are pretty decent in the morning, ofc, although I would avoid juices with added sugar.

You can do better, but you can also do much much worse than this.

The only issue is timing, long term. Eating eggs for lunch and delaying breakfast would be a step in the right direction. Beans, broccoli, and eggs would help reduce insulin spikes. Not eating breakfast won't magically make you lose weight because it does not matter when you eat, but how much. I used to not eat breakfast for years, but now eat most of my food in the morning, maybe a snack midday, and no dinner. It has vastly improved my sleep schedule since I can easily go to sleep now and am up at 4-6am even if I don't use an alarm clock. I'm not saying this is how everyone should live life, but that everyone will prefer a different eating schedule.

As for carbs, its again the bigger picture you're not looking at. If you stop eating carbs due to some dumb diet, you cut out a large selection of food groups, and that just spells disaster, especially for someone who's just starting out. Its about moderation, and if someone loves baking, do you really think not being able to eat almost anything they make will benefit them? As you learn about healthy food, you tend to not consume as many carbs anyway.

Maybe you're just unaffected by these things, but most humans have certain foods that they love, having some every once in a while won't really change anything health wise, but it will keep a person's sanity and will to keep on making more good choices down the line.

My current breakfast is

>1 handful of spinach
>1 clove of garlic
>Chunk of cheese

Dietitian here. Eggs are a great choice for breakfast. Some people worry the cholesterol is too much, but dietary cholesterol doesn't actually correlate strongly with serum cholesterol in the blood. Just go easy on the butter/oil when cooking. If you really want to cut calories remove some or all of the yolks, whites are basically pure protein and very filling. I like a few pieces of turkey bacon or smoked salmon with mine, and some fruit/berries.
