I just put two potatoes in the micro wave, one was well above average size and the other was quite small.
I set the micro to potate and the number to two
How will this turn out for me?
Will they cook at the same rate?

You have to flip them over halfway or the bottom gets hard. As long as you do that you probably won't overcook the small one.

That setting is for two normal sized potatoes, OP was hoping a big one and a small one would even out
