It’s starting to grow, but Lisa’s is a Vietnamese-American owned plain fried chicken restaurant specializing in finding low rent restaurant locations (pic related) and operating a very high quality cheap food product. They constantly change their oil and do a wonderful job. You can get anything fried that comes prefrozen like corn dogs, corn nuggets, fries, okra, shrimp, fish, chicken fried steak, fruit pies, but their best is their hand battered barely seasoned fried chicken that they butcher themselves as well as their handmade tenders.

They’re starting to get into middle class areas and have taken over a few failed Wendy’s.

Went there tonight and got a burger and fries. Fries were good (not as good as Dick's) but the burger was kinda bland. They use cheddar instead of american and the sad truth is that american has so much more flavor than cheddar on a burger.

I dunno but there's a Village Inn in Maple Valley that's called Meal Time now for some reason. Family Drive-In in Kent basically turned into one at some point, not sure when exactly but when I was a kid they had a much simpler menu and were more like the Arctic Circle they originally were.

As a frugal person, I think Bill Miller's is a strange location in Texas. The BBQ plates are overpriced and the servings are small. It's like when someone holds a BBQ funeral fundraiser and you're only buying a plate to support the cause. Once I ordered the chicken sandwich and there was no condiment or topping option, yet it's served like a fast food meal with fries and a drink. If you told them put mayo and pickles and onions on it, they'll look at you like you're crazy.

I ordered a bean and cheese taco because it was the cheapest item on the menu, I was curious. Bean quality was straight out of a can, and served cold. I suppose their saving grace is the free food bar with unlimited rolls and vegetable shortening that you can gain access to by buying the bean and cheese taco (if you wanted to dirty bulk and build muscle/fat, or save yourself from starvation).

There's this farm market near my brother's house that, at night, turns into a single table restaurant.
Because it's only one table, they're booked for the next year. Reservations work that if you call on, say, tomorrow, the earliest you can make your reservation for is May 16th 2024.
They opened two other, full-size restaurants, but, IIRC, the executive chef works only at the farm market location.
