I stayed at a dodgy as fuck backpacker hostel in Peru that I'm almost certain was run by a legitimate witch coven. They served pink pancakes once a week which they said was raspberry jam, but I'm pretty sure it was blood of some sort.

I am from Peru and I have never heard of "blood pancakes". The closest meal I can think of is called "sangresita", which is pig's blood cooked.
