I can't recommend any, but I've been wanting to get to know more about sake other than just the bit that comes with my $10 roll at the sushi restaurant by my house.

I have never liked sake but several of my friends love that shit. What's a bottle I could try that isn't stupid expensive for someone that just is either starting out or hasn't found one he liked (yet)

I like the cloudy snow white (?) stuff in the pink bottle. It's the most basic bitch stuff but I like it and I'm not pretentious.

Junmai Taru Sake. Any other opinion is wrong. Also drink it out of a masu box for the perfect taste.

i haven't had many sakes but this one was pretty good.

Tbf Gekkeisan and other cheap stuff has gotten loads better than it was like a decade ago. It's still primarily cooking sake but at least restaurants can serve it without it tasting like ethanol. Never chill cheap sake though. That shit is only for the good stuff. Heated sake will always taste good no matter how cheap it is though.

I've only ever had onikoroshi out of the little juice boxes and that shit was nasty. One Cup was a godsend in comparison.

i've only had gekkeikan. it's cute. i'll get it for $7 a bottle sometimes but any other brand is at least twice the price.

I'll never touch something that isn't junmai. Miss me with the added alcohol shit. If I wanted watered down moonshine, I'd drink soju.

The three most common (and cheapest) brands I have near me are Gekkeikan, Hakutsuru, and Tozai
Which should I go for as a total beginner to sake? Or should I just pick up the small 300ml bottles for each kind of style/brand I see
I always get worried I'm wasting sake because the autists on reddit claim that if a certain brand/style is not heated/chilled correctly, you will become hurt
