Baba is French, Malaga is Spanish. Gelato includes sorbets (water) and isn't the same as ice cream which uses cream. Using a (Swiss) Pacojet isn't artisanal either. It's just duping deepfrozen shit into a ridiculously good blender. That's not artisanship, that's pushing a button. I've made a lot of different flavors, a few notable ones: granny smith apple with salted caramel swirl, mixed melon (cantaloupe, crenshaw, and galia), honey and orange zest with pistachio butter swirl, and dark chocolate espresso with cinnamon oil syrup swirl.

Making ice cream at home is pretty easy if you have a decent ice cream maker, I really dislike most of what is sold at grocery stores. I'll never understand why people like bits of chocolate in their ice cream; usually it's very low quality chocolate, and chocolate is notable for melting at body temperature. I find the cold chocolate pieces to be a waxy distraction from the rest of the ice cream. I guess people that like it take a spoon of ice cream, put it in their mouth, let the ice cream melt and swallow it while holding the pieces of chocolate in their mouth and allowing them to rise in temperature enough to enjoy it?
