Let’s plan a road trip solely based on restaurants, regional cuisines, and fast food places.

/int/ can submit their places too.

ITT tell me where we are going to eat. Name the restaurant and location what are we ordering there.

Should we try Cincinnati chili?

Should we go to Louisiana and try to eat some Nutria?

In the Twin Cities

Matt's Bar, makes the best jucy Lucy. 5/8 is shit don't bother. Seating at Matt's is limited so go on an off hour.

The Nook is another burger joint that's really good, makes REALLY good fries and has a bowling alley in the basement

For Ramen, you could go to Tenka Ramen in Uptown Minneapolis, I fucking love their spicy pork miso ramen and pork buns. The owner is a very nice lady and almost always there.

And that's just a couple options

Yeah for years I dreamed about taking a BBQ tour of the South and Texas and Kansas City. Go to Memphis, then different parts of North Carolina, maybe swing by New Orleans for Creole, then on to Texas for brisket and then up to Kansas City. Never did it tho.

there is nothing one can do to BBQ in those places that cant be done elsewhere
BBQ is such a low-tier food that to base a road trip on it would be silly

South Cackalacky anon here.

If you stop in SC, I would recommend Poogan's Porch for upscale southern cooking.

If you don't want anything "fancy", then hit up Low Country Fish Camp. It's the epitome of the southern fried fish plates, and sometimes they got gator.

You'd be surprised. The place I use to barback at, the beaner cooks would pre-fry fries before meal rushes, within an hour they were dry and shitty.

A lot of places also just use pre made frozen fries and dump them into a frier and hit go. Cutting your own fries isnt really all that common unless you're in like the downtown areas.

The Nook for that matter rises above that baseline of mediocrity to make some good fries
