cook's illustrated is good, and this guy's articles are usually pretty decent even though he tries to sell himself as a Salt of the Earth Small Town Blue Collar Vermonter and it doesn't work

He was married, but started fucking a camera girl on ATK and was fired. He had enough money to start a new cooking tv show, but was fought by Cook's Illustrated and couldn't create a clone so he made Milk Street, which is a very nice compliment.

His infidelities became our gain as he was obviously holding back ATK.

On ATK he was a massive pussy that couldn't handle any spice in his food at all and could not stop jerking off to French tradition. The format and idea of a test kitchen was a good idea, just held back by a boring white guy. Unless you're cooking American food or French food, most of the recipes before from a few years before he was fired aren't worth trying to make. They're from a time left behind

The idea of a show that travels around the world (not just Western Europe, Japan, and Mexico) and brings back recipes adopted for an American audience is also a great idea, but definitely not something he would have ever done if he wasn't fired from ATK.

Your reading comprehension needs work. They're all tested and perfected recipes. They just aren't all from old American (mostly white family) and French recipes. They also are free to use all the ingredients in an American city and not just the ingredients available in an old suburban American grocery store.

This. I loved the show for more than a decade, I grew up with it. Thought it would be a "forever" thing, with it being PBS, government sponsorship and all.
The powers that control the media pushed their agenda so goddamn hard its absolutely gutted the show. Its unwatchable now, they were very late to the YouTube party as well, then when you try to get a recipe, there is a fucking PAYWALL thrust in your face. Sorry but this whole franchise is completely over and done.
