I remember I was driving through upstate NY and passed a farm stand. Only thing in it was a bucket of "paw paws" for a nickle each. Bought one and just ate it skin and all. Tasted AMAZING
Later I google that the skin is a neurotoxin and the flesh can make you I'll if you consume too much. I freaked out for a second but it was fine

Paw paws are cool they should make candy that tastes like it. It's weird that the northeast has such a tropical tasting fruit. I expect squashes and apples not a creamy fruity dream out in Appalachia
