The lunch. Egg yolk, calf + cod liver, curry rice, red sauerkraut, olives. All organic
Keep it or need it?

OP my man, that egg yolk is looking pretty raw
In all seriousness, I couldn't do egg yolks. Do they have a pleasant taste by themselves? Is it for a diet? And how did you season the livers?

>> No.19040917

wow op kudos eating all of this nauseatingly rich shit together and not throwing up, especially that much cod liver AND two fucking egg yolks, wew. how did you eat the yolks? i only ever eat em with bread but i bet they'd be nice stirred into rice

I've been mixing a little bit of soy sauce into the eggs, it tastes better. I have never tried fish sauce, but the taste makes me think of it. It tastes okay when it's plain, but there's no reason to skip out on a salty flavor. The calf liver just had salt and pepper.

I dumped it into the rice when there was only a small amount left. I don't like putting the eggs into a full bowl because the flavor gets lost within all that rice. I remember dipping bread into it, but I ate very fibrous bread so it was probably not as good as it could have been.

Tomorrow it's going to be pretty much the same thing as today's lunch because I want cook rice in a pot again to see if I can notice a difference. Today it was pressure cooked. Although, lunch and breakfast are usually the same thing for me because I wake up at noon lol

Is everything alright? Allergies or do you not like sugar very much?

>Is everything alright? Allergies or do you not like sugar very much?
I have IBD so eating junk food as a habit is not the best idea for me. I am not sensitive to actual real sugar, but the stuff they put in commercial dessert is just terrible.
Our society thinks this idea is strange, but I believe that it's silly to worry about dessert. Something my gastroenterologist said was "once we put you on this medication, you will be able to eat cake again" which is just ridiculous. People care more about eating things that taste good over their health. My own family is spiraling to death, but they will not listen to anyone that tells them to just change their life style.
Let me gather my spaghetti...

This conversation is getting too real. I have Type 1 Diabetes and my family keeps commenting about my diet.
What other meals do you like to prepare? Have any other pictures?

This soup tastes very good. It's a beef stock base with Yukon potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, celery, onion, and I may have put mushrooms as well. You need to make sure that you don't cook it too long, or the soup will become thick from the potato starch and lose the flavor of the rest of the vegetables.

I'll have to try this some time, thanks OP! Are any of these recipes taught to you by your family or did you develop them yourself? What's in the other bowl Corned beef with tomatoes and olives?

It's from mom and dad
>What's in the other bowl
Stuffed olives, tomatoes, and wrangled salmon. I put raw salmon into a jar, put salt and pepper into it, and hand mix it. I don't make it anymore because the rough mixing gives it a nasty texture, but I guess it's good for preservation.

I'm intrigued, what food is the closest to the texture?

>> No.19045011

Instead of the whole fish having a uniform texture, it becomes a mix of minced meat (reminds me of pic rel) on the surface, with a rough chunky interior. Too bad I don't have a clear picture of that fish.
