The only citrus sodas I've really liked above the rest are Lemon CC and Squirt, with Lemon CC being refreshingly sour with high carbonation for a strong kick, and Squirt being smooth lemon-lime.

Cane Sugar by and large has a more flat flavor profile HFCS, and in a ton of sodas make them taste worse.

You *think* soda is "higher end" because it has cane sugar. The reality is when you go into a real soda shop that has walls of glass bottled soda, half of them are still HFCS because they taste better.
Its very easy to pick out which is which, and many cases it clashes with the actual drink because they wanted to market it on the front as "100% Cane Sugar!"
Its purely marketing and people fall for it.
