When's the last time you had a good old-fashioned greaseburger?

No avocado or brioche or any of that weird shit. I mean burgers like they were in the 1950s.

>>18941046
Yesterday? Do you think most people eat burgers with avocado nowadays or something?

Fast food and gastropubs are the norm now. Old-fashioned greaseburgers are often difficult to find in a lot of the United States. Large corporations have destroyed a lot of the old-school stands and establishments.

Diners and “family style” places hardly count and diners have been vanishing for years too unless you count Denny’s.

Bullshit, maybe if you live in SoDoSoPa or something, otherwise there is at least 2-3 greasy cheeseburgers available close to you anywhere with a population density above 100/sq mile

Fuck those family diners. It’s almost always low effort bullshit. I ordered a hamburger steak with eggs at the local diner at it was a fucking preformed frozen lol patty with fake grill marks.

The big chain diner at least uses real stuff.

Monday.

England has loads of roadside caravans in laybys. There is a real good one on the A37 at Yeovil, Somerset. But often there are to many people queuing, so I have to drive by and just have to dream of a greasy burger.

fine but don't replace it with one of those bullshit spongy white bread buns that melt apart after the first bite
kaiser rolls or a similar roll that can handle the grease

had five guys last week. it had the patties, cheese, grilled onions.
now as much as i like grease i'm not finishing a five guys burger in one sitting. i ask for the bun on the side so it doesn't get soggy and fall apart. once the patties have cooled i'll assemble it and cut it in half

There was this place in Canberra Civic that opened like 3 weeks before COVID™ called "Flash Burger". Simple walk-up and takeaway joint with kind of a comic book theme, an actually nice and fun staff. They had comic booky arrows all around the block in hopes of luring people into the alley for their brügers. Somehow they survove the brunt of shutdowns but I think the second wave or whatever was too much for them. I was so gutted. Fucking HATE buying burgs from a cafe or a shithouse like Grill'd. Flash was simple no-frills burgers and awesome fries. How come anything homegrown and honest dies a miserable death while all these fucking trash places continue to scam people and employ NPCs and they thrive on. SO FUCKING ANGRY RIGHT NOW THANKS OP
