The staff at the one near me is actually competent for a change. They don't even use too much mayo like literally every other one I've been to. There had to be a good Burger King somewhere.

Wendy's has consistently good burgers even if they are often incredibly messy out of the package; not nice to look at. The fries for whatever reason can be hit or miss which is common depending on staff changes or what the hell ever.

BK used to be good but I've consistently disappointed with them now especially their fries.
I live an hour from the nearest fast food joint so I can't waste my time going to places that disappoint.
For a while I was driving a lot for work and I stopped at a Carl's Jr for breakfast. Holy fuck that shit was vile. I was starving but I couldn't finish it. Unbelievable it's still in business.

Depends on what I'm in the mood for. Hamburgers? Wendy's or Burger King. Chicken sandwich or nuggets? McDonald's or Wendy's.

You don't remember how good the fries were back in the 90s/00s though. They were so much better than what came after. Admittedly the ones they have now are an improvement at least. But man, them yellow box fries hit different.
EDIT: now that I look at pictures of these and more thoroughly analyze my memory banks, the current fries are a lot like the 90s ones but they left the peel on which is texturally unpleasant for me. I don't mind the peel on a baked potato or whatever, but I'm not eating fries from a greasy burger joint because I want that extra 1g of fiber and 2% DV of potassium.

I got to McDonald's for the friendly old ladys taking my order. Wendy's is for redditors. BK has the most repulsive 400 pound cooks, I lose my appetite.

I was in high school back then and we went to Wendy's pretty rarely. The fries were outstanding back then but for my money, KFC had snackers with motherfucking zinger sauce (if you don't remember US zinger sauce from the 00's I pity you) and you could get double cheeseburgers at mcdonalds for a dollar each. same with the mcchicken and yes I am old.

Not sure why but in Canada BK and Wendy's are the shittier options. They can deliver good on their staple items (Whopper, baconator) but you are rolling dice when you order anything else. McD's are the only ones that deliver a consistent product across their entire menu. I've never had a Mcshit burger that made me look inside to see what the problem was, but at BK and Wendy's you just don't know what you're gonna get. Sometimes it's dry as fuck, sometimes the bread is stale, sometimes the bacon is so old that it's like eating a scab.
A&W is even better, but Americans say it's shit. Not sure why it's like that

I think McD's and Wendy's are the closest two, so I usually choose between them if I'm going to go get something.
Wendy's is usually my go-to. It's just better than McD's crap. The Frosty is so much better than a McD shake, and the burgers don't taste like shit. But McD's is closer to me, so if I'm too lazy to go drive out to Wendy's, I'll just hit up McD's. I used to like McD chicken nuggets, but something changed the past few years and I don't enjoy them anymore.

Wendy's is the best of the three (just had my cheat meal with them) with consistent high quality on every menu item, breakfast and lunch. McD's is solid if the location has a good team and you just really have a hankering for their fries or Big Mac/Quarter Pounder. BK is garbage except for their onion rings, Whopper and chicken fries; their breakfast is much better than their normal food.

Granted, this is all goyslop, so keep that in mind.

If I have to choose one then Maccas, I haven't been in over a year but their spicy mcchicken sandwich was a guilty pleasure back in the day. Never been to a Wendy's in my life, and it's been so long since I've been to a BK that I forgot what differentiates their food from McD's.
