what’s wrong with that?
unless she washed it straight from the stove or threw it in the dishwasher there isn’t any problem with washing cast iron.

He's right though. Use the right tool for the job. A seasoned stainless pan will never sear as well as an unseasoned one.

Why is your mom coming over to your place when you aren't there and doing your dishes? That's like almost incest tier awkward closeness. I talk to my mom on the phone for 45 minutes like every 3 three weeks, and she occasionally buys me a shirt she thinks I'd like and I never do.

Faggots, I wash the dishes and do other house chores when I'm not at work. She doesn't want me to pay off some boomer's rental and prefers that I stay here to help tend the house. Also, one of my neighbors got high on meth and lsd, stripped naked, and chased her onto the porch. I almost ventilated that cracker for doing that.

Depends on how long do you do it. I stayed with my parents because I went to college in the same town, and got married maybe a year after graduating.
If I was still there in my late 20's, that be really weird.

Yes, I've even shown her the importance of applying some kind of oil after cleaning it but I swear that all the non stick in the house went straight to her head.

I'm unfortunately in my late 20's but even if I had a good job, I'd still have to live at home if I want to stay reasonably close to my mom and sister. The country has lost its mind with housing prices and especially so in California. I'm not interested in pussy right now, especially considering the women in my particular area, so I'm able to tolerate living at home. I'd prefer to honestly move and take my mom and sister with me desu.

Of course it doesn't need it. Just like it doesn't need pepper or garlic. There's a reason all of western cuisine uses them. If you've never even made a simple steak au poivre then you have no business owning anything beyond Teflon.

Best way to clean your cast iron and it doesn't get rid of the seasoning. You don't even have to oil it. Washing the pan is fine as long as you dry it immediately after
