Whole foods had a sale on short ribs this weekend. $7.19 a pound. I bought 30 pounds over two days.

Did you think lamb chops cost a fortune because no one wants to eat them?

Do Americans just not eat lamb?

Is there any similarity?
I've had veal and it tasted bland to me
Lamb is delicious because of it's strong flavour

I think lamb sucks.

>> No.18875520

lamb is the best meat, but i haven't been able to eat a good lamb since around 2014. i remember eating a perfect leg of lamb that was fatty and juicy, but it seems like they just don't sell those anymore + the person that cooked it for me became a vegetarian. its very unfortunate

Good veal melts in your mouth and is very tasty, maybe your veal was not prepared properly, lot of different cuts

Nah, not so much this is a veal farm, they are kept from moving to keep their meat tender and slaughtered when very young. The pic is free range beef

Ok but good lamb doesn't really melt in your mouth and it has a very strong delicious flavour
Did I just have it prepared for me wrong and actually veal isn't a mild tasting meat?

I agree lamb has a more strong gamey flavor than veal
I can't tell you veal is better and you can't tell me lamb is better
To each his own

>>18875760
Yeah ok
I guess your original post was just about more expensive meats
Honestly I'm very mixed on veal but it's funny how I was told how veal is horrible and they're all kept in cages but nobody ever seems to mention that they're a natural byproduct of the dairy industry
It was made out to be pointless torture to me but it's just making use of calves which would be killed anyway

most people on a cooking board, even this one, know that lamb is good already anon.
