I love all your soups. I've had almost all of them and will make the ones I haven't. But we are talking GOAT here. And there is no soup more well known, comforting, or beloved as the humble chicken noodle soup. Everyone has had a cold and almost all of us have had bowl of chicken soup with it. If such a thing as comfort kino exists then that feeling every one of you got when you thought about that warm bowl on a cold night is it.

Saw this thread because I just made a big batch of soup tonight, and this is almost exactly the recipe I used. Only difference it wasn't chicken *noodle* soup, so no noodles, and I also through in some broccoli I wanted to use up. But pretty much spot on exactly with all your other points, down to the home-made chicken stock.

Also, secret ingredient? Turmeric. As with any turmeric dish, you only need a tiny amount, but it elevates it to a whole nother level flavor-wise. Would strongly suggest trying that out if you never have.

Chicken soup without noodles can be considered an honorary chicken noodle soup if you have the right paperwork.

>no noodles
that's fine honestly. you'd call it just chicken soup at that point. replacements for noodles in chicken soup can be potatoes or even more vegetables and I do that sometimes.

>broccoli
For real the only good way to eat broccoli in my opinion is in a soup.

>turmeric
based! I actually add turmeric to all my chicken soup too. I just didn't include that in my post (>>18876591) because i expected people to argue about its inclusion so i simply left it out of my post. Do you use fresh turmeric or ground turmeric powder? I use the powder just because it's easier to have on hand.

Your grocery store probably has kale
The next substitute would be collards or mustard greens
After that, cabbage, you want something sturdy

The REAL question is does anyone have any bomb ass soup/stew recipes they use?
This is hands down the best tomato soup I've ever had if you use good San Marzano tomatoes:
