DING DING! like a fucking decade and a half before Muh Supply Line shit BK, through no external forces and entirely of their own accord, decided to gladly flush their QC down the toilet. I don't have an autistically curated timeline but the 3 big ones were the Bun, The Tender, and then the Fry. IIRC The Buns were the first to become full on sandpaper/drywall. If it wasn't a Sourdough bun it became like fucking ceiling popcorn texture shit. Or kinda like those Dirt Dobber wasp nests. I think next was they switched from Chicken Tenders, little morsels of actual meat, and switched to the McDonald's style chicken slurry formed into a shape and then fried. And then they decided to reject the 90's fry recipe from the Mr. Potato Head promotion and switched over to whataver thrice-damned recipe that makes their fries look/feel like hollow husks of potato extract. The business went from #2 in the fastfood burger industry to #10. The corporation has braindead zombie Brand leadership at this point and so they do the absolute bottom of the barrel fix of having ridiculously 'good' offers in their app to compensate. They have to straight up give away food just to get people in the door.
