How much do you spend on food a day?
>rough estimate in USD
>your state, territory, cunt, etc.
>where you get your food

I'll start
>$6 - $8 (average from past several grocery trips)
>South Carolina
>Big box and regular grocer stores like Costco and Publix, never eat out

>> No.18740841

>publix
christ it's like you hate having money

>> No.18740916

I do? That's why made the thread. Thanks for bumping it friend

>>18740841
As in publix is too expensive? If you're a card member and buy the generic brand everything is quite cheap. Not sure what your talking about

>> No.18741058

I try to go as cheap as possible without doing a lot of cooking and staying healthy. Its between 4-15 a day. Take out, cheap meals and fruits.

>> No.18741076

>>18740831
probably ~$15. would be cheaper if not for living in a major metro area

>> No.18741179

On a normal day, probably like 10 bucks
But if I'm feeling like really eating a shitload of food as I do maybe once a month, I'll dump up to $100 on a single meal

>> No.18741206

i dunno but my daily breakfast of oatmeal (cup of oats cup of milk spoon of peanut butter) comes out to like 50 cents a day

>> No.18741244

>>18740831
Is that for one person? Any tips for reducing costs?

>> No.18741259

probably between $15 and 20, steaks, parmesean dishes, stupid shit like energy drinks

I can't afford it I'm just a retard

Texas, rural
About $1000/month, feeding 5 people.
Take them out to a restaurant about 2-3x a month, included in the price.
For some reason they took a liking to my slavshit bean soup this December, it's literally some dried pork and beans with seasoning. Got it all in bulk from the Mexican store for a song.
IDK maybe it was a ruse to get better presents as December food was cheap.

Yes it's just me but I have the benefit of using my sisters Costco membership so I did not fscote that into my costs. Hmm not sure if theyre tips but things that work for me are
>regular planned shopping trips
>switch to whatever brand is on sale
>sign up with a phone number (doesn't even have to be real)
>nailed down like 3 good meals I can always rely on
I don't coupon or anything but I'm thinking I could get some items I don't usual buy if I start (usually get chicken instead of beef)

Budget is £5 a day (£150 a month) including toiletries, sauces, bits and pieces. I can usually make it and eat quite heartily & healthy but cleaning all the time is tedious. Also requires a lot of bargain hunting, planning and discipline.

about $10 a day because i haven't figured out eating exclusively dirt cheap vegetable dishes and rice yet. And, the other members of my household have real autism and certain foods they will start pissing if they don't get. (in particular: la croix, gardein nuggies, and hot pockets)
northern VA
Almost 100% costco and the local LOTTE plaza, sometimes i eat alone at the paki foodcourt there or the afghani places nearby.
