Redpill me on The Airfryer.

It's great, I do all my frozen food in it, plus heating up slices of pie on occasion. It's also good for broiling meat
Thinking about getting one?

it blows the nutrients off the food. it will make you ill

It's good for reheating fried chicken, and any other fried food for that matter

I just got one, fries are amazing, meat was pretty ok. Next time just going to dump it all into the basket at the same time and see what happens.

Is this true? I'm a body builder I need my nutrition

I know you're a bodybuilder, but try heating a croissant in there sometime. Shit's cash

Oooh never thought of that. Any other secret recipes? Recently read you can throw eggs in here, which doesn't sound good

Nah, I don't have any other ideas sadly. Air fried eggs sounds like an idea so weird it warrants trying at least once

My roommate got a big one just recently. I thought there was going to be a lot of cooking here but it turns out he's just using the dehydrator function to dry his dude shrooms

i know the stereotypes about dumb bodybuilders but surely it's obvious that the nutrients can't be "blown off" of food

The heat of the air cooks the food.

That's right. You only blow on food if it's hot to get rid of the heat or when it falls on the floor to blow away the germs.

An air fryer is just a convection oven so if you had the eggs in a cup or something you could do it (bits of egg would probably fly off on a plate). However the only reason you would ever cook eggs in an oven is because you need a lot of them and air fryers are small so it would defeat the entire purpose of that vs. cooking one in a hot pan for 2 minutes.

The GOAT for meal prep. /ck/ meets /fit/
I cook 6 lbs of chicken thigh in it, 2lbs at a time, with a coating of olive oil, salt, pepper, and chili powder
add to rice and veggies and I have food for the whole week
I love how you set it and forget it, I prep veggies and cook those on the stove but the chicken is 17 minutes with ONE flip in the middle, so fucking brain dead which is good because I wouldn't do this otherwise

>> No.18714702

>>18714683
You could do all 6lbs at once in a regular oven though

>> No.18714721

>>18714702
air fryer gives better browning, I wouldn't get such good browning without autistically changing to broil and flipping multiple times and probably moving the fucking rack, too
or I slap thighs onto a grate and go back to video games

One time I got these s'more things at Costco and they said to heat them in the airfrier (they were frozen and I had to heat them) they were really good, and also the only time I consistently used my airfrier.

>> No.18714790

Does all the things a baking pan with a raised rack does in half the time. Love it.

I do chicken wings in the air fryer, they are amazing. I only use about a tablespoon of oil for a dozen wings.

You sound like the kind of guy who would doubt that all of the energy wind turbines are blowing the Earth out of its current orbit.
