Where does this lazy and false assumption even come from? Every person I know who likes spicy food is white. If I look up spicy challenges on youtube it's always white dudes. Hot sauce recipes are all made by white people. Even koreans and malaysians eat more spicy food than blacks and mexicans.

It's because in the southern states and Caribbean hot sauce and spicy food is everywhere... its just a normal thing. White people actively seek to ruin dishes with hot sauce while black people incorporate ot into a lot of their dishes.

I've been to alot of Caribbean islands and the degree of the amount of scotch bonnet in their marinades and such depends, but its always spicy.
