Chili/Chilli sauce is basically "grown-up" ketchup. Despite the name, it has no chilli in it.

In the US Aldi's own-brand is surprisingly really good, so if you go the chilli sauce route, try that one. Personally, tho, idgaf. I enjoy ketchup on shit, but I'm picky af on brands and enjoy chilli sauce in roughly equal measure, just in different applications, tho I've used chilli sauce in place of ketchup for making Chinese stir-fried eggs with tomato and it was good.

I do pizza at home with store bought crusts where I chop up like 4 cherry tomatoes into tiny pieces and add that to the tomato sauce before it goes into the oven. also cherry tomato slices around the edge of the crust where they'll cook the most
