>open some windows
>light some incense if you have it
>throw on some music
>get all of your dishes out of the sink, put them on the floor if you have to, just free up your sink, that’s the most important part
>scrub it and fill it with hot water and soap
>buss that shit down, your dishwasher is a glorified drying rack
>use your oven to dry large pots and pans
>scrub down counters afterwards, then mop floors
Take a five minute break every once in a while, but keep at it.
You’ll probably have to do a load of laundry if you’d like to salvage your towel after busting down the counters.
You can do it, my guy. All you really need is soap, a sponge, and a towel/ hand towel. Go crush some ass.

It’s mostly just depression, laziness, or someone having shitty roommates and getting into a passive aggressive war of attrition.
I’ve dealt with numbers one and two, I’m usually a wash- as- I- go kinda dude unless it’s something that needs to be soaked.
I’ve gotten shitty roommates out of my life, and my house is now spotless (I got burnt by shitty roommates before and I absolutely loathe bugs, had one roommate move house to house and insist on moving their shit that was in the non-temp controlled garage, literal garbage that was roach infested. They were a really good friend, but that sent me over the edge and I’ve lived alone ever since).
Depression is kind of rough because after it’s gotten past a certain point it becomes very difficult to muster up the energy to just power through it.
I feel like it’s a valuable skill to be able to harness the dishwasher’s mentality and pre-bus and just bust shit down. Being in the dish pit sucked dick when I was younger, but now I don’t mind just crushing some dishes, even at other people’s houses (especially if a good friend is really in a rut, or if someone cooks for me).
I don’t particularly enjoy doing it, but it’s not that much of a chore.
I might be fucking autistic but I’ve got insomnia and after several different one night stands, I’ve cleaned people’s kitchens because they’ve just disgusted me. They’ve always been pretty appreciative.

tl;dr, just do your fucking dishes, my dudes.
