I need help Anons.

I love cooking on my health grill but it takes longer to clean it than it takes for me to clean up my kitchen normally. I want to use it more but cleaning it is a fucking pain. I can't remove the plates either like other health grills.

What's the best way to clean them? Pic related is mine.

get a better quality one with either removable plates or a runoff trough
with removeable plates obviously you can just pop them out and wash in the sink like normal, with a quality runoff trough you can give it the once over with a soapy low-abrasion sponge (usually blue instead of green) then rinse and just empty the trough

The next one I get will have removable plates but there must be an easy way of cleaning these ones. Even Salter male them like this too.

I've got two of these and a Foreman grill (people just keep giving them to me).
What are you cooking that you can't clean them in 4-5 minutes?
I've never had a problem with mine.

I was cooking peppered burgers and bacon. You're supposed to let them cool then use a damp cloth but it doesn't work, they are a nightmare to clean.

anon i do this basically EVERY DAY
while its still hot use a sponge with a green scourer on it and push it into the fat tray
use kitchen roll to scrub more and not damage the metal but to also dry
you need to keep it on while you do this, once youre finished use a tea towel to wipe it down

I use bbq mats I cut in shape. Still, some stuff gets on the metal, so I cut a wooden spatula to scrape most of the stuff on and between the ridges in a few strokes.

Why wouldn't you try a damp cloth while it's still fairly hot?
That's what I do, seems like a no-brainer.

Then you're doing it wrong.
