How do you cope? I stopped trying two years ago because no matter what I did the fuckers always came out dry

Duck, ham, and rabbits are the superior Thanksgiving meat

Putin's price hike. Nothing we can do about it.

I have some ducks and geese in the chest freezer from last year and I'm glad I do.
The prices right now are rough.

I have a whole smoked turkey in the freezer and a normal-ass breast.
If I can't get a turkey for a good price this year, we'll just roast one of those instead, though I'll have to buy smoked wings for the collards separately if we wind up using the breast.

I dont buy factory farmed turkey that grew up in shit piss filth and unending squalor. Make your own and you'll make a fortune out of selling them

Price increases are happening because of a number of things that have nothing to do with how the turkey was raised, like the current strain of avian flu, inflation, and supply chain issues

You've gotta brine a turkey if you want any hope of it staying moist and juicy.

Getting a free ham from work this year, not buying a turkey.

There's wild turkeys on the land where I live so I'm going to try to catch one.

Fpbp for duck being the best. I love to do a roasted duck for Christmas. My family loves ham a lot too. Rabbits unfortunately are hard to come by in my area.

Don't be ridiculous. You saved 13 cents on hotdogs for the 4th of July. Just put that savings towards your turkey feast. Sheesh!
