I like black but damn are they expensive. One costs as much as a full 12 pack of Maruchan or Top Ramen.

I honestly think its worth it since I only have one once in a while. it goes great with sautéed onions, mushrooms and bell pepper.

these are forever ruined for me after living in japan. they have shin ramyum as well but it's the cheap, shitty one that nobody fucking buys cause there's so much better shit. I typically ate some after winning a bunch at a time in a specific game at the gamecenter that I was good at (I always wanted potato chips like chip star but instead sometimes they'd have this shit).

cracked me up to move back to america and everyone is salivating over shit that I literally threw out of my apartment a dozen at a time cause they'd just pile up and it tastes like cheap SE Asian garbage lmao

Yeah, I agree black is worth it. I try to keep some on hand but it's getting a bit hard to find nowadays. Always sold out at the local grocery store and the korean market only has that Buldak stuff. Decent but not my favorite

Bros pro tips for your ramens. Take refried beans and put in there. Trust me anons. If you have for some reason dehydrated refried beans. Use them. But if canned. Take a soup and then like a quarter of a can. Right in that shit. Yeah

>> No.18530726

Of normal Maru vs normal Nissin, pork Maru >>>> all others.
Of deluxe-ish instaramen, Nissin Raoh >>>>> all others.
Of fridged and frozen ramen, I haven't had many, but Sun Noodle garlic shoyu has been my favourite so far.
Of specialty instaramen, I can't decide between WaiWai tom khlong or Mama yentafo (especially the one with bean threads), but either of those >>>>>>>> all others.
Of ramyun, Nongshim gamjatang >>>>>>>> all others.
Of dry noodles (instant yakisoba/chowmein/mie goreng/etc), I can't decide between Maru cheese yakisoba or Indomie green chilli (cabe ijo). They're only a little better than the other options (except Nissin chow mein; they all suck various shits).
Of cup/bowl instanoodles in general, I like the green Paldo. Forgot what it's supposed to be. Others are good, too.
Of stock, no noodles, Lee Kum Kee is best.
This is incontrovertible fact and to argue against it is to say you don't love our Lord and Savious, Jesus Christ.

if we're limited to picrel, nissin vs. maruchan:

pennypack - mostly a wash but I slightly prefer maruchan
cup - nissin wins

I grew up on maruchan packs, favorite flavor oriental (now "soy sauce") in the blue bag

Till this day I have no idea why Nissin didn't do what Nong Shim did and use the same recipe in Asia for the Western markets. The difference in quality is like night and day, Nissin is actually a viable competitor to Shin and the other Korean brands in SEA.

everything else is facsimile.
end of discussion.
>>18531146
this nigga gets it.
i also chop up celery and boil it in the water before adding the noodles.
i also spice the water so it makes a broth.
i also drain the noodles after they're done cooking.
i've also added salsa after draining it instead of hot sauce, it's pretty good.

These have so much more flavor and actual pieces of cabbage and meat in them. They're like double the price of the regular cup noodles though. If you're going to put shit in anyway pass on this, but if you're not at home with sauces, seaweed, and hot sauce, get this stir fry variety.
