b8 thread, but the focus of a BLT is the tomato, not the bacon. the bacon is salty, smoky seasoning and textural component. the juicy, tender tomato mixing with the mayo is the point of the sandwich.

make a tomato sandwich. toast some nice thick, flavorful bread (I prefer wheat), put mayo on both slices, then sliced tomato in the middle. let the tomato sit on the cutting board with some salt and pepper on it for a bit before making the sandwich.

Thinly sliced meats crisp up easily, seasonings, curing, and smoking can get you similar flavors to bacon. Seared strips of pastrami or corned beef work. Grilled lamb slices can be salty, fatty, and crispy. Beef, duck, and turkey bacons are readily available products, they're not identical to pork bacon but offer similar flavors and are good on a sandwich. Chickens will eat chicken meat and I'm pretty sure you could get them to eat shit, yet you have no prohibition on eating chicken.

I've seen cows eating rubbish in India, you could probably get them to eat anything, yet beef is perfectly fine in Islam.

Also, pigs will only eat anything if it's what you give them to eat. If you give them normal food they'll eat it. So pigs being fed trash is not some inherent property of pigs but rather a factor in the way they're raised. In that light, why wouldn't this Allah just command people to feed their pigs well instead of forbidding pork meat entirely?

I haven't heard of stories of chickens eating eachother in a pasture environment, but not a surprise if its done caged.

Warthog and swine have been proven to be cannibals even in the wild, this gers exacerbated in in a caged setting where female pigs eat their young.

Nonetheless, they don't sweat like other mammals (explains why they roll in their own shit) which is why their meat is more acidic and generally worse for you taking toxins into account.

Also regarding parasites like trichinosis, pigs don't even have the most of it. Bears have more trichinosis than pigs. Today in this country most trich cases actually originate from people eating bear meat, which is insane considering that billions eat pork and only like 5 dudes actually ate a bear. Jesus' death fulfilled the prophecy of a new covenant being established found in the OT. Jesus said it's not what enters the mouth that defiles you, but what exits the mouth. So food doesn't defile the individual, their words and actions do. Jesus broke the Sabbath, and made it clear that the only laws that are to be followed are the 10 commandments.

OK, what about Mathew 5:17-20?
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Yes it is, and it's neither conflicting either. Jesus made it clear that all foods are good to eat.

Jesus fulfilled the Law with His death. Everything in the law was pointing to Him. The last thing Jesus said on the cross was
>it is finished
meaning what He came to do was complete, and that was to fulfill the Law, which rendered the old covenant with Israel null and void and began the establishment of the new covenant (which again is prophesied in the OT).

Romans 10:14
Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
