Green tea Ice cream that isn’t garbage (most are good but I’ve had one or two that were like really just dye and weird flavors) is fantastic. I had it once at some Japanese buffet and it essentially entirely changed the game of ice cream for me. I had no idea ice cream could be anything else other than just sweet + flavor. It feels like a pallet cleanser almost.

It’s the best because it’s NOT super tasty or sweet. It’s distinctly green tea flavor without a fuckton of bitterness and a slight tinge of sweet and it’s cold. I could have a scoop of it after every meal and I wouldn’t feel like trash like any regular flavor of ice cream would leave me. There are types that are more flavorful but that’s not what this is going for.

I just ate an entire pint of Haagen Dazs Rum Raisin. It cost me $3.33 because I got it on sale.

Not my favorite, but it's discontinued now and deserved a tribute: Blue Bunny's birthday cake ice cream. When I was smoking way too much weed a few years ago, there was a mexican takeout place in my neighborhood that would sell me hand-packed pints of this. I remember the ratio of bright blue frosting to ice cream being pretty intense. It was like eating a cardboard cup of sweet blue paint, it was like the imaginary food the Lost Boys eat in "Hook." It would probably be inedible without drugs, and I fully understand why this flavor was discontinued. But I wish they would bring it back.

They only look different if they're oatmeal raisin cookies. If they're just raisin cookies (which are literally chocolate chip cookies but with raisins instead of chocolate chips) the cookie part looks identical and if the raisins aren't fully exposed you can be tricked into thinking they're chocolate chips because they're just about the right color.
