I grew up in Ashland, PA. I have never been to Altoona despite it being pretty close and didn't care about. Ashland was a shithole that died with the coal industry but seeing this pizza lets me know that Altoona is worse.

Yeah. Thick crust, green bell pepper slices and salami, kraft cheese. It doesn't even sound that bad, if they just called it a salami square or something it'd be fine, it's the fact that you're expecting pizza and open the box to see those neon floor tiles.

It's worth it. I've been there a couple different times. While you're there, head over to horseshoe curve. Also very worth the trip.

This pizza that's supposedly "Altoona Style" I've never heard of or seen. I live about an hour southwest of Altoona and no one has ever heard of this crap around here.
