Kinda silly, cause its making me want to buy more pans, trays, cooling racks, and appliances that id never used just to fill it up. Really wanted to get some of these(pic related) for the bottom shelf, for potatoes, onions, and other tubbers that shouldnt be stored in closed cupboards or the fridge... even though if properly stored, id still never use potatoes fast enough to make buying them in 10lbs bags make sense.

What do you think I meant when I said I was trying to fix the horrible spice cabinet disaster? I live with my parents due to severe mental health issues and I've finally had enough of my mom's spice style

>everything crammed on the rack inside that door on the right of that pic
>multiple open jars of the same spice
>spices that have been expired for 10+ years
>impossible to find anything, no order at all

I bought 32 4 oz glass spice jars to put spices in. Each jar will have a label on top of the lid so you can glance down at it and see what it is and spice will be sorted alphabetically. One of the problems with the current spice system is that there's no order, and when spices are in the back you have to pick them up to figure out what the spice is. There's crap that isn't even spices clogging up the spice rack too, there's was a bottle of "Holy Land Dirt" (you can't really see it in the picture) on the spice rack.

You can see the start of my work if you look at the racks on the right side of the image. I only filled 3 jars with spice so far because I'm waiting on some labels to affix to the top of the jars to arrive. I will write on the labels with chalk pens. There will also be a system where if there is more of the spice in the house (like in the basement) that's not opened, you place a small colored sticker on top of the jar of spice so everyone knows not to get more and that the spice can just be refilled. You don't want to top up the spice before you use all the spice in the jar, otherwise you are mixing two spices and the new spice is on top of the jar and the old spice never gets used. The rack with all the jars was just me seeing how the jars all fit, you can fit 10 on each rack.

I also got a set of elongated rectangular spice spoons. They easily fit in the jars unlike those terrible half-sphere spice spoons that are too wide to fit into spice jars.

I have planned this spice system in ways you could only dream of planning.

If you cant see the difference between these two spaces YOU are soulless and no better than people who put shag carpet over hardwood in all those old Victorian homes in the 70s. Or "updated" everything and made it fuck ugly beige in the 90s. It's a trend, and maybe if a single person were capable of doing this "everything is white and quasi-minimalist" remodel in a way that wasnt painfully uninspired and bland I might reconsider my opinion, but frankly I doubt it's gonna happen.

Lol I was going to say I liked the original counters more but then I saw it was that wrapped wallpaper combo thing, honestly not the worst since it's so easily cleanable but truly dated. The new one looks very clean and nice but it needs some sovl added back since the lighting is so crisp now, I feel like they planned to go white-on-white before they saw it with the new lights. It looks like an apartment kitchen now, albeit a big one.

So they cut out the old stove top and counters under it to put in the new oven? I did the exact same thing to my kitchen. No fridge in the original or is it behind the camera?

Get an air purifier, run it 24/7
Plug-in air fresheners in every room
Put open boxes of baking soda to fill in the gaps between the plugins
Vacuum the fuck out of the place, use a vac that uses bags
Replace the filter on your central air/furnace (don't get the expensive hepa filter ones I promise the unit in your apt isn't designed to power through it)

All of that shit would look better in your mother in laws kitchen with some blue yellow green tiles and back splash to go with that table cloth, and some better lighting to keep the white contrasting nicer with the baby blue.
