What condiments do you normally put on your cockdog? For me, it's just mustard. Nothing else. Don't need any of that other fancy pancy stuff.

mustard and relish.ill do onions too. ketchup only for the spicier sausages

>> No.18281156

mustard is the minimum, but onions and sauerkraut make it better

Brown mustard, relish, onions, or sauerkraut in some combination

I really like a Chicago style dog, but after moving out of that objective shithole I’ve learnt a few nuances
>Vienna beef is a monopoly in the city and frankly not that good. I legit prefer nathans - especially grilled
>ketchup is absolutely fine if you don’t have fresh tomatoes
That being said the shitty neon green relish is great and it’s hard to find hot dog buns with poppyseeds outside the Chicagoland area

Always mustard. Sometimes onions, peppers, or a small amount of ketchup with the mustard.

>> No.18281218

absolutely required: mustard
absolutely haram: ketchup

onions/kraut/peppers etc always welcome, maybe hot sauce in an emergency

Usually just ketchup/mustard. I've tried relish and onions and chili and cheese and it just never seems right. A hotdog seems too simple a food to add all that stuff to, I just want a bun, meat, and a little tang.

>> No.18281483

If you really like hotdogs then you probably make them many different ways.
I'd eat most of these on here other than the mustard ones but I could omit that and eat it anyway

>> No.18281633

I usually make 2 then put mustard and kraut on one and mustard, relish and sketchup on the other

Does anyone know the recipe for Tommy's chili? It's so unique I've never come across it anywhere else.
