I'd at least add some bits to it for variety, we even do that in the UK, adding sausage/bacon/meat of some descript as well as having flavoured bakey beans (Not that I really like the curry ones, I prefer just Worcestershire sauce and brown sauce)

At least have some bread with it, cowboy style, you don't have to have it on toast but that's good too because the butter goes well with it.
One of the "fancy" baked bean meals I make is with pate spread on toast with less beans than you'd normally have. It's pretty good
