Only good food in NYC is in Brooklyn. Good delis, good hot dog stands, diners/greasy spoons. Manhattan is all overpriced and overhyped. NYC pizza is far and away the most overrated food in all of the US. The true culinary capital of the US is Chicago, and it's really not even close.

I was in NYC last year and parts of the city were still under covid restrictions and a huge number of restaurants were closed or had ridiculous outdoor dining rules. Los Angeles is absolutely coming up as a food city, but it's still got a way to go before it's there.
