Is KFC going to shit a universal thing or just a problem in my country (South Africa) ?
The chicken is always either dry or raw, no inbetween. The chicken batter lacks flavor and falls off easily.

Ausfag here.
At this point it's a joke. I could pay $15 dollars for a 6 pack of original pieces, or I can go to grocery store and get 7 piece of tasty buffalo wings for half price.

Definitely universal. I live in Japan but I'm Australian, currently visiting Australia. The chicken in japan is ok but it lacks flavour. Sometimes they have special chicken like red hot spicy or sesame garlic. They've been really dry and underwhelming recently, this is multiple stores in different prefectures both in Kanto and Kansai. At least the place is clean.

KFC in australia has been absolutely cucked by shareholders or greedy higher ups. Every corner is being cut to maximise profits. Everything that had tomato has been replaced by a generic bagged cabbage mix. They used to have crispy strips which were cripsy tendies with their own flavour, but they've been replaced by tendies with the same coating as the regular chicken. I visited one I used to work at 10 years ago and it was absolutely filthy. Popcorn chicken and chips all over the counters and floor. Tattooed meth heads working there. And no special items. When I worked there you could get toasted wraps and quesadillas. They've obviously got rid of their toaster machines to maximise profits. They used to have grilled chicken too with special cookers and warmers but they've all been done away with. Kfc australia is absolutely gimping and cucking itself for profits.

Oh and it's now 3 bucks for a single piece of their pathetic chicken. For a spicy chicken burger it's about 7 bucks, absolutely insane and they are smaller than ever.

I also have never seen anyone at KFC, either. Popeyes seems to only hire incompetent people, but always has a line. Starbucks, Subway, McDonalds, Taco Bell and Sonic (despite their poor quality) always has a line. Arby’s always has a line, but is probably the best fast food chain so I understand that one more. I have never seen someone go to KFC.

KFC used to be fairly clean, well lit, good and quick service, and tasty chicken when I was a young kid, but even as far back as when I was 16 all the KFC's that weren't in the shittiest part of town all shut down. Now every KFC I find, even in somewhat decent neighborhoods is dirty, run down, and they never have enough chicken. No matter what time you show up, what you order, or how many people are there they'll always say it'll be a half hour while chicken cooks. I live in the American Midwest. Nobody here likes KFC anymore, Popeyes and raising Canes reigns supreme for most.

Dry yes, but never raw. They have timers in place so that even the most incompetent wagie should never risk giving you salmonella (and a potential pay out from the company itself).
And don't give me that "the flesh was pink so that means it raw" shit either, discolouration often occurs resulting in chicken that may appear raw to retards who have never cooked anything in their miserable lives, but it's (mostly) harmless.

ausfag here, KFC started putting cabbage in every single burger due to a lettuce shortage. I haven't been to KFC since they announced it. If lettuce is so expensive just put less lettuce in the burger, they always put more than they should anyway. But fuck no I'm not eating cabbage, fuck off

This, the KFC near my place is garbage (not even a bad suburb, either), chicken is dry and flakey 99% of the time (and they've basically always run out of a bunch of menu items regardless of what time of day it is)

Doesn't help that the employees are usually retarded stoners as well, though in that case it might just be me getting unlucky.

I feel it's been the opposite where I live in California. KFC used to be complete dogshit but over the past 2 or so years they've increased in quality.

My local KFC used to have this problem where they would put the breading on way too thick to the point where there would be these gross spongey clumps of grease-soaked flour trapped between the crust and the meat. They've managed to sort those issues out recently.

It's still not as good as Popeyes or Jollibee but I don't mind it now.

Confirm. sucks ass now. It was already bad when Chicken Express' attempt at competition failed even though their chicken was better (apparently they still exist in Fiji though).
I pinpoint the moment it began to turn when they started ruining the $20 streetwise feast. 6 chicken pieces, 3 strips, 6 nugs, 2 large chips, 2 sauces. Now it's $25 and they swapped two of the chicken pieces and have 6 strips now, but the strips are godawful compared to what they used to be.
They also started to deliberately forget the sauces until you ask for them, the chicken now is atrocious, it's so oily, and you always get the shit tier pieces unless you buy one of the islander family boxes.
Not long ago a bunch of independent bbq chicken/kebab shops all added "broaster" chicken to their menus, apparently it's an American company selling their machines here for the first time and killing the KFC monopoly on closed lid autocooker machines, I've had those a few times and they taste better, aren't greasy and weird coloured.

>batter lost It's iconic crispy texture, darkened in color and now its softer with an off flavor
