I still don’t quite understand the logic behind this, restaurants see new people every single day. If you make a point to go “hey I don’t eat here often,” your server isn’t going to think to themselves “jeez I better give them free stuff and make their order is as souped up as possible.” More than likely, especially if it’s someone you haven’t seen before and you make that comment with your weird acting confused move they’re gonna think ‘yeah, sure. I’ll bet.’ And then move on from that thought.
